The season of Lent, second Sunday . . .

. . . Lord, teach us to pray.

The disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray.  We still ask the same.   He taught his disciples a prayer.  What does that prayer mean today?  What does it mean to pray, today?

Sunday, March 1, at 11 o'clock.

Traditional worship --- with a flair!

Sunday school and discussion groups start at 9:45 a.m.

Worship begins at 11 a.m.

Come as you are, casual or dressy, expectant or hesitant.  Bring only a mind and heart that are open to God and the grace and gospel of Jesus Christ.

And worship on line, too!

Worship at your desk or with your laptop, pad, or phone, in two minutes or a half hour.  To subscribe to a weekly email with scripture and commentary,   send an email to:  carrboroumcthisweek@aol.com, and put "Subscribe" in the subject line.

Children in worship . . .

Children share in the opening of worship in the sanctuary, to experience being part of the congregation.  They also go down front for children's time,  a message that invites their participation.  Children also serve as acolytes, ushers, and communion servers.

Then children's church, in the second  half of the hour, is an experience of worship that takes their pace and attention span seriously.   This is designed for ages 3-10, but other ages are welcome, too.
